SIX people were arrested at a Sale house after a number of cannabis plants and a starting gun were found late last night.
It is thought people at the address, on Washway Road, attempted to flee the scene when police arrived and one of the offenders tried to hide on the roof of the property.
Firefighters were called to the incident at around 11.50pm, and allowed police the use of fire service ladders and an aerial platform to get onto the roof and locate the offender.
The starting gun and equipment used to grow the drugs were recovered from the roof area.
Police were originally called to the scene after reports of suspicious behaviour, and found the marijuana plants growing in one of the bedrooms.
Six people have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to produce cannabis and remain in police custody for questioning.
Inquiries are ongoing.
