TRAFFORD Community Leisure Trust has unveiled the newly refurbished changing rooms at its Urmston Leisure Centre, after completion of a £300,000 redevelopment programme.

The old female and male wet changing rooms and the sauna suite have been knocked out and merged to provide one large changing 'village' to cater for all types of swimmers.

Contained within the ‘village’ are numerous private changing cubicles with a section of larger cubicles created specifically for families.

A huge selection of lockers is provided in a variety of shapes and sizes.

The area has 10 private shower cubicles including two family showers. In addition there are five pre-swim showers.

The toilet areas have also been refurbished.

Bernie Jones, chief executive of the leisure trust, said the new changing room development is a “direct response to the demands of customers and the market needs.”
