AN Altrincham law firm has helped a man who lost his foot in an industrial accident walk again.
Robert Upton, 64, lost his foot in an accident at work when a piece of machinery fell on it and crushed it. Despite numerous operations, the foot could not be saved.
He enlisted the help of Price & Slater, who specialise in such cases. They referred Robert to PACE Rehabilitation, who fitted a silicone prosthesis for him, complete with colour matched skin.
A keen walker before his accident, Robert was happy with the outcome.
He said: “It’s great. I’ll certainly be showing my toes off when I’m on my summer holidays later this year. I also hope to get back to hill walking too.”
Vicoria Price, partner at Price & Slater, said: “We’re just happy that Robert now has a decent quality of life comparable to where he was before his accident.”
