New Balance race to Lake

HALE-based creative agency Lake has been appointed by leading footwear and athletic brand New Balance to provide creative support across a range of projects.

The first project, an integrated range of point of sale for a lightweight 1080v2 running shoe, is already in store.

Using the theme of ‘We All Have The Right To Light’, the concept involves a ‘floating’ shoe and associated display materials.

Lake will also be supporting New Balance with further point of sale, advertising and exhibition projects, including the design and build of the company’s stand at the Virgin London Marathon Exhibition in April.

Lake MD, Barry Glinister, said: “The New Balance brand is one that we have wanted to work with for many years and while it might be too late to save my athletic career, hopefully our work will provide inspiration to the many everyday and professional athletes who love the brand.”

Samantha Matthews, New Balance UK marketing manager, said: “2012 is an exciting year for New Balance and Lake produced an impressive response to our brief showcasing a real understanding of the brand.

"We look forward to seeing our 2012 campaigns brought to life across our sales, advertising and exhibition outlets in the coming months.”
