TECHNICAL learning and development provider Pearson in Practice is set to deliver a new sales and telesales apprenticeship in partnership with Sale-based Harrington Brooks.

At Harrington Brooks, ten apprentices will be appointed as sales advisers in a nine month paid apprenticeship scheme.

Apprentices selected will gain a grounding in sales and telesales through a mixture of off-site training and on-the-job experience.

The apprentices will be responsible for liaising with internal and external customers and providing a high level of customer service and support.

Fiona McBride, chief executive of Pearson in Practice, explains: “With increased demand for sales and telesales employees, the advanced apprenticeship scheme is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to get into the industry.

“The opportunity to learn on-the-job skills as well as gain BTEC and NVQ qualifications will help create a set of talented and multi-skilled young people equipped with all the skills necessary to thrive in such a fast paced and growing industry.”

Sue Woodrow, business improvement manager at Harrington Brooks, said: “Pearson in Practice is the ideal partner for our sales and telesales apprenticeship. As a business we believe passionately in promoting from within and, as sales and telesales is a large part of our business, the apprenticeship scheme is a fantastic starting opportunity for those wanting to further their career with us, and the industry as a whole.”

The intermediate sales and telesales Apprenticeship from Pearson in Practice is available to people aged 16 and over, who live in commuting distance to Harrington Brooks’ offices in Sale.
