SOLICITORS are preparing to give their time for free to aid a local charity.

The St Ann’s Hospice Will Week will involve dozens of legal eagles giving up their time for free to help people make their will.

Instead of charging their usual fee, they are suggesting that supporters make donations to St Ann’s Hospice.

One of the regular contributors is Francesca Breakspear, a Cheshire solicitor, who participates in the annual effort.

She said: “Working as a solicitor, I see first-hand the impact of getting your personal affairs in order. Something as simple as making a will can really provide peace of mind.

“Lots of people are concerned about how much work might be involved in making a will, but it’s actually a really easy process and as solicitors, we’re here to help and guide you through the different stages and paperwork.

“I chose to support St Ann’s in this way because my nan was a patient there and the staff were absolutely amazing. I have also taken part in other fundraising activities that have been run by the hospice, such as the Manchester Midnight Walk.”

The effort is from March 12 to March 16. To take part or for more information telephone 0161 498 3631 or visit sah.org.uk/willweek
