EGERTON Park, the new development of Morris homes in Broadheath, welcomed record numbers to its open day on October 1.

Competition for the first release of houses, which sold out on the day, was fierce, with some potential buyers queuing from 7am while others waited overnight in tents and cars to be the first on site.

The early start and high competition did nothing to dampen spirits as families and couples took the opportunity to visit the Egerton Park site, Iin Norman Road, for the first time.

Registered interest in further releases and future phases on the development is already at three times the independent housebuilder’s average.

Rachel MacCutchan, sales director at Morris, said: “We’re very excited to be bringing such a unique development to the area, and it is fantastic to see that excitement echoed by the public.

“Egerton Park offers an enviable location, since it’s a stone’s throw from Altrincham’s bustling town centre and peaceful countryside yet provides easy commutes, excellent schools and the buzz of nearby Manchester.”

Egerton Park will see the site’s Grade II listed Linotype building brought back to life through sympathetic renovation as a unique range of apartments that capture the area’s fascinating history.

Sitting alongside these buildings is a series of two and three bedroom mews homes, as well as a selection of three and four bedroom detached properties designed to encapsulate the surrounding area.
