THE recently renovated Stamford House in Altrincham is now fully let with the final two retail units being taken by Homebird Interiors and Libby G Cakes.

Homebird Interiors has taken the unit on 1-5 Stamford New Road, comprising 2,108 sq ft, on a 10 year lease.

This is the third Homebird Interiors shop to open following those in Wilmslow and Cheadle Hulme. The stores offer a mix of furniture, lamps, rugs and decorative items for the home.

Libby G Cakes has taken a five year lease on the 7 Moss Lane unit comprising 750 sq ft. It sells an array of cakes from everyday treats to those for special occasions.

The restoration of this landmark building, by landlord and developer Petros, has enhanced the retail mix in Altrincham, with its nine shops primarily let to independent retailers, while its 24 loft style apartments on the three uppers floors are all let.

Daniel Lee of Regional Property Solutions, the letting agents, said: “The transformation of this former office block into shops and residential has been impressive.

"It has certainly added to the retail offering and the town centre dynamic with more residents living at its heart”.
