TRAFFORD Park based firm CHEP UK & Ireland has again been commended for its safety procedures.

The supply-chain solutions company has been awarded the occupational health and safety gold award for a fourth consecutive year in a prestigious annual scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

Through the scheme, which marks its 60th anniversary this year, judges consider entrants’ occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said: “To win an award at such a highly-regarded event as the RoSPA awards is a great achievement for our winners.

"It recognises their commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record and raises the bar for other organisations to aspire to. We offer them our congratulations.”

CHEP UK & Ireland managing director, Rod Francis, said: “We take safety incredibly seriously within our business.

"To receive the gold award for a fourth consecutive year is a fantastic achievement, and testament to the ‘prevention is better than cure’ attitude and behaviour of all our people throughout the organisation.”
