HOME builder Lovell has boosted its North West sales team with the appointment of a new field sales manager in its Altrincham office.

With more than 17 years’ experience in the new homes sector Samantha Williams, 38, from Allerton Liverpool, has been promoted to the management role from her previous position as sales coordinator.

Samantha’s appointment is as a result of significant growth for the North West business over the past year as well as the number of developments that are due to open over the next six months.

With Lovell set to mark its half year at the end of June, the region is already well on course to achieve its year-end target, which would signify a 72 per cent increase on its house sale completions last year.

She said: “It’s an exciting time for the company in terms of growth and the number of new developments we have in the pipeline. I’m relishing working closely with our sales teams on site to help Lovell to achieve its ambitious targets for this year.”

Following in her mum’s footsteps, Sam started out in the new homes industry aged just 21, when she joined housebuilder Redrow as a sales consultant, a position she held for 12 years. She gained vital customer facing experience before honing her management skills as a field sales manager following a switch to Watkin Jones. She then joined an agency, which meant a move back to being ‘front of house’ on site again.

Sam’s most recent position, as sales coordinator for Lovell, has given her an overview of head office operations, which she believes will be invaluable for her new role. She said: “I’m very experienced in liaising with customers but my latest role, based at our Altrincham headquarters, has also give me wider knowledge of how the business operates, and how the different departments work together.

“I’m really looking forward to undertaking my new role as field sales manager and the challenges that will bring. At the moment demand for homes is so high, one of the major challenges is ensuring we can build enough homes to meet that demand, while maintaining the highest customer service levels. Customer care is something I place great emphasis on, as our homebuyers are the most important people in the whole process and we want to make sure their new home is just right from the moment they move in.”

Samantha will be overseeing Lovell’s Church Fields development in Garston, Liverpool, a site she spent time working on as a sales advisor, Green Bank in Middleton, as well as two new schemes in Wirral and a new project by Compendium Living, a partnership between Lovell and Riverside Group, in Belle Vale, Liverpool.

She added: “We have a fantastic team here and we all support each other like a family. Hopefully that shows in the product we build and the service we offer to customers. "

Clare Noakes, regional sales manager for Lovell North West, said: “Samantha has proved herself to be a dedicated and talented member of the sales team and I’m sure she will continue to be an asset to the company in her new role. We’re growing the business at a significant rate and are looking forward to contributing to what will hopefully be a very successful and profitable 2016 for Lovell.”
