PERSONALISED clothing business Clothes2order has strengthened its board of directors with three appointments to support its continued rapid growth.

Sam Jones has joined the firm as commercial director from sports e-commerce company Kitbag, while Simon Turner has been promoted from marketing manager to marketing director. Operations director Paul Sellars is the third new member of the company’s board.

Sam spent 12 years at Kitbag, where he held a number of senior roles and was latterly the director responsible for Kitbag.com.

He is responsible for Clothes2order’s e-commerce, IT and customer service operations and is overseeing the development of new revenue streams.

Simon joined the Trafford Park firm in 2008 as a digital marketing assistant and has worked his way through the ranks. In his new role he oversees all of the company’s sales and marketing strategies as well as brand development.

Paul joined the company last year and has more than 20 years’ management experience, including spells at Heinz, Northern Foods and McBride.

Meanwhile, Clothes2order has created four additional managerial posts and has a new head of e-commerce.

Debbie Ross has been appointed human resources manager, Michelle Harris as finance manager, Stephen Booth as operations and engineering manager and Phil Somerville has been promoted from web developer to the role of senior technical lead.

Pradeesh Geethanunny has been recruited as head of e-commerce from appliances retailer AO.com.

Clothes2order supplies more than 20,000 businesses, teams and communities with personalised clothing for uniforms, promotions and events.

Clients range from start-ups and small firms to household names such as Google, Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz, Microsoft and Kellogg’s.

Clothes2order is the fastest-growing part of Quayside Group, whose turnover has doubled to £9m in the past two years, with staff numbers increasing from 28 to 110. The group is targeting annual revenues of £20m by 2017.
