PRIVATELY owned property development company, Altin Homes, was delighted to welcome members of Trafford’s planning department to their new offices in Altrincham recently.

Trafford Council’s director of growth and regulatory services, Richard Roe and Trafford’s new head of planning, Rebecca Coley, met with Altin Homes’ managing director, Mohammad Khoy and design director, yousef Mousavi, to take a look round the scheme.

Altin Homes moved in to its new 4000 sq ft, three-storey office building on Woodlands Road at the end of last year. The company’s new office forms part of a mixed use scheme, approved by Trafford planners in 2013 which includes four houses and three apartments, as well as the new office building.

Mr Roe said: “The site of Altin’s new scheme had lain disused for many years. The development devised by Altin Homes has created a landmark development on one of Altrincham’s key sites.

"They are to be applauded for the scheme which makes a positive contribution to the area.”

During the visit Mr Roe and Ms Coley also toured the four-bedroom showhome. An advocate of modern family living, Ms Coley said: “It’s a pleasure to get out and about in the patch to see the end result of the planning decisions we make.

“We are keen to work collaboratively with developers like Altin Homes. In doing so we can gain a better understanding of each other’s needs and aspirations and that’s got to be good for Trafford.”

Mr Khoy said: “It’s a pleasure to be working from our new offices in the centre of town and we are grateful that Richard and Rebecca were able to take the time to come and see us.

“This scheme has transformed a tired looking area of Altrincham and had the added benefit of creating 33 jobs for the duration of the 15-month build period.”

All but two of the residential properties at the Altin Court development have been sold and Altin has leased the top floor of its office building to PR company, Rumpus PR.
