AN OFFICE building at The Downs, Altrincham has been sold for £280,000 to Novo Property Group for residential conversion.
The office building comprises 3,155 sq ft with a ground floor retail unit and offices on the upper two floors.
Alexander Clarke, acquisitions director of Novo Property Group, said: “This building on the boundary of the prime residential areas of Altrincham and Bowdon is ideally located for residential conversion.
"This part conversion, part new build will incorporate an extension to the rear and the transformation of the existing building to create five high end apartments with associated car parking, while retaining the prominent retail outlet. We will shortly be submitting a planning application”.
Daniel Lee, director, Regional Property Solutions, who acted for the vendor, a private individual, said: “This building was destined to be sold for residential given its location and proximity to the town centre.”
This is Novo’s third residential project in Altrincham with construction just started on the new ‘Tannery’ development of 13 apartments adjacent to Goose Green.
