ALTRINCHAM-based recruitment specialist Meridian Business Support's HR director, Steve Jeffers, recently became a regional director for the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP).
The IRP regional directors are made up of both IRP and Recruitment and Employment Confederation corporate members.
The directors work on a voluntary basis, raising the awareness of the IRP and improving standards within the industry.
Kevin Green, chief executive of the REC said: "Our industry is very dynamic and is all about making personal connections. So in addition to the traditional methods of communication like email and mail-outs to our members we rely on our regional directors to make those personal connections with their colleagues and peers to help spread the word about the IRP.
"We’re really glad to welcome Steve to this new role in the North West and look forward to working closely with him to help promote the professionalism and quality in recruitment that the IRP stands for.”
