THE directors of Altrincham-based legal recruitment consultancy, Realm Recruit, have been appointed as ambassadors for two charities, reinforcing their commitment to the community.

Following the launch of Realm Recruit in November 2015, directors Abbie Hart and Duane Cormell, have volunteered their entrepreneurial skills at the Junior Chamber International (JCI) and Forever Manchester.

Mancunian Abbie, 27, has been elected to the board of JCI’s Manchester branch, taking on the role of social director. JCI is a not-for-profit personal development organisation for young professionals and entrepreneurs aged 18-40, with the aim of creating positive change.

Abbie said: “Joining JCI appealed to me because of the close links that it forges with the community and the chance to support the three chosen charities for 2016 - MedEquip4Kids, Action Against Hunger and Challenge for Change. My new role will mean organising the monthly social events held by the chamber, with the opportunity to meet fellow professionals in the area and support worthy causes.”

Abbie’s appointment to the board further reinforces Realm’s commitment to the Chamber, with Realm having been a sponsor of its annual awards event, the Manchester Young Talent Awards, last November.

JCI Manchester's 2016 president, Paul Widger of RSM, said: "JCI connects and develops young talent across the city. It's a privilege that young entrepreneurs like Abbie take up the opportunity to collectively run the organisation. Abbie brings great commercial and events experience and we’re looking forward to a fantastic year."

Duane, 27, has become an ambassador for Forever Manchester, a charity that funds and supports thousands of community projects across Greater Manchester. H

He said: “Like my fellow ambassadors, I share a passion for this great city and the people that live in it.”

He added: “Having moved here in 2007, I see Manchester as my adopted home, and I wanted to use my commercial knowledge to help raise money for social projects across the city and heighten the profile of this fantastic charity; making a real difference at a local level.”

The news coincides with the launch of Realm Recruit’s new website: www.realmrecruit.com.
