ALTRINCHAM-based housing refurbishment and regeneration specialist Lovell has been appointed by leading not-for-profit purchasing consortium LHC to its new major kitchen and bathroom replacements framework in the North West.

Under the framework, the company will be eligible for large-scale housing refurbishment programmes – each with a value of more than £500,000 – for housing associations and councils across the region. Lovell – which is based on Barrington Road, Altrincham - has also been appointed to the LHC kitchens and bathrooms framework in the East Midlands, West Midlands, Yorkshire & Humber, and North Wales.

Last year, £210 million of work was awarded through LHC procurement frameworks nationally.

“Lovell has a long track record of successfully delivering housing refurbishment programmes for housing association and local authority clients and residents and we’re absolutely delighted to be bringing this expertise to the high-profile LHC kitchen and bathroom replacements framework,” says Lovell business development director Peter Quinn.

“Our appointment underlines the company’s reputation for providing a quality service which puts our customers first.”

John Skivington, director of LHC, comments: “We would like to welcome Lovell on to this new framework. A lot of effort has been put into producing this framework by LHC to provide public sector landlords with a quality, compliant framework to meet their refurbishment requirements.

“With LHC’s previous experience and success in this and with the effort of companies like Lovell, we believe this framework will be a success all-round.”

Work covered under the LHC kitchen and bathroom framework will include installation of new kitchens and bathrooms, plumbing and electrical services, structural alterations and redecoration.

The appointment is the latest in a number of major housing maintenance gains for Lovell this year. They include a contract with Chevin Housing Association, a member of the Together Housing Group, to carry out £20 million of improvement work for homes across Yorkshire over the next two years.
