HALE-based law firm, Blackstone Solicitors is celebrating the latest of a series of successes.

it has qualified for membership of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme CQS, accepted as a standard award for residential conveyancing practices.

Set up by Emma Nawaz in 2010 to specialise in dispute resolution, the firm expanded their services in 2014 to encompass a property section.

The past 12 months has seen it achieve a number of accolades including winning Team of the Year Litigation at the Manchester Law Society Awards 2014, shortlisted for the Law Society Excellence Awards and achieving Excellence in Investors in People.

This latest recognition of CQS complements other achievements achieved by the firm already this year including a new national client, the Fragrance Shop. Established in 1995, the Fragrance Shop now has high street locations throughout the UK. Blackstone is now its dedicated commercial solicitor and will deal with all aspects of property matters on its behalf.

The expansion of the services on offer by Blackstone means that the team has now grown to 12.

Earlier this year the firm’s first trainee Charlotte Turner qualified, as a lawyer and this month Sarah Townsend became an associate solicitor specialising in commercial and property litigation.

Managing director, Emma Nawaz, said: ‘We are particularly pleased with the first quarter of 2015, the clients that we have attracted, the cases that we have won, this latest CQS recognition and ‘our team'.

"We all work incredibly hard to not only deliver but to surpass our client’s expectations.”
