BROADHEATH-based trailer maker Cartwright has appointed Simon Shepherd as its new finance director.
He is a qualified accountant with a wealth of experience in senior finance roles for a variety of companies in the motor industry including the retail motor trade, manufacturers, dealerships, leasing, car hire and the truck rental sectors.
He will have overall financial responsibility for all four mainstream businesses of the Cartwright Group embracing manufacturing, rentals, finance sales and fleet services.
Married with three children, he lists his hobbies as football and cycling.
He said: “I am delighted to have joined Cartwright at such an exciting time in the company’s development. Cartwright is a highly respected name in the industry and I hope my experience across many different areas of the automotive and truck rental sectors will add value to my new role.”
