BOWDON business Vintage Afternoon Teas is in the running for a national award - and is appealling for Trafford residents to vote for it.

The firm is up for Best Vintage Event Supplier in this year’s National Vintage Awards.

Taking place in Central Birmingham on June 19, the national awards ceremony was created to celebrate the independent businesses who keep the vintage scene alive.

“We’re absolutely delighted to be up for this award," said Gwyneth Brock, owner of Vintage Afternoon.

"My team and I have worked so hard to build up my business and to have national recognition would be amazing. It would be wonderful if everyone in Altrincham and Trafford could vote for us."

Established in 2010, Vintage Afternoon Teas delivers afternoon teas for special occasions and private parties throughout the north west. It also hires out vintage crockery for events.

In 2013 Vintage Afternoon Teas won “Best Vintage Event Supplier” in the Vintage Manchester awards and Gwyneth said it was this success that encouraged her to enter the national awards.

Voting takes place online at www.thenationalvintageawards.co.uk throughout May.

To vote for Vintage Afternoon Teas you should go to the website and vote in the “Best Vintage Event Supplier” category.
