SALE-based One Marketing Communications has appointed Alex Hamilton as the firm’s social media manager.

Alex joins the agency from his previous community manager role at online media intelligence specialist Meltwater. He will spearhead One’s social media offering.

Alex joins the growing PR team and will report to Sarah Lawless who has been promoted to head of PR and social.

Wayne Silver, managing director, said the appointment sends a clear message to current and prospective clients that the agency caters for every marketing requirement under one roof.

One has invested in various tools to provide round the clock social monitoring and engagement for its clients, and helps make sense of the data by reporting on social activity on a regular basis.

Alex said: “The existing social media client base at One already includes some fantastic brands and there are exciting strategies in place, but I am keen to find unique and creative ways to drive these campaigns to the next level and supercharge the service.

One currently works with a number of nationally recognisable B2B and B2C brands including Gorenje, Moduleo, Britannia Living and Taylor Wimpey.
