ALTRINCHAM-based Vintage Afternoon Teas is holding a secret tea party for Mother’s Day with award-winning British food maker Clippy McKenna as special guest.
At the event on Saturday, March 29, Sale-based Clippy will talk about her plans to preserve the nation’s waistlines and will put on a number of demonstrations. There will also be sandwiches, scones and Clippy’s jams.
The event will be held in a secret village hall, and as with all secret tea parties, details of the venue won’t be revealed to guests until a week before.
Gwyneth Brock, of Vintage Afternoon Teas, said: “Our Mother’s Day secret tea party last year was our first cookbook signing event and we decided to continue with that tradition with Clippy McKenna talking about her fabulous new preserves cookbook.
Everyone is invited to the event and tickets are £20 plus booking fee. Visit www.vintageafternoonteas.co.uk/events
