MANCHESTER’S annual Trade Fair is hoping to encourage a new generation of future business leaders thanks to a helping of entrepreneurial TV shows.

Intu Trafford Centre is hosting the annual fair today, Thursday, February 13, and the business efforts of youngsters from Greater Manchester schools will be demonstrated by up to 40 teams taking part in the Young Enterprise Company Programme.

They will be in the Great Hall from 10am to 3pm selling their products and using the opportunity to market their businesses.

There will also be prizes available for the best marketing and best trade stand.

Suzanne Lockwood, North West area manager for Young Enterprise, said: “The popularity of business entertainment shows on TV in recent years really is rubbing off on their young audience, and the calibre of young people who join Young Enterprise is perhaps higher than it has ever been because of this improved education.”
