CAMPAIGNERS fighting to save services at Trafford General Hospital took their fight to Downing Street last Thursday.

A delegation from the Save Trafford General group - including actor Matthew Kelly, who hails from Urmston - handed in a 12,500-signature petition at 10 Downing Street.

Campaign chairman Matthew Finnegan said: "Our official patron, Matthew Kelly, was really keen to come and join us and we were delighted to have him with us, standing up for local NHS services and local people's views."
