GETTING dressed was like child’s play for youngsters at the Village Nursery after they joined in the fun of Pyjama Day (PJ Day) in aid of the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Children, pictured, at the Trafford Park -based nursery dressed in their pyjamas on October 18 to help raise money for the regional hospital.

There was no snoozing at the nursery either, as children got creative with ice cubes, paints, twigs and tissue paper, all in the name of a good cause. The children, aged up to five, raised nearly £100 for the hospital.

Gill Lysons, a member of the charity team at the RMCH, also visited the nursery with Pendlebury The Bear, to say a huge thank you to the children and staff for their fundraising efforts.

PJ Day is a simple way for nurseries, crèches and playgroups, across the North West, to help raise vital funds for the hospital. This year, money raised from the charity initiative will go towards the cost of RMCH’s Giggle Doctors, helping to put a smile on the faces of some of the most poorly children in the region.
