MORE than 50 babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers from Juice Nursery in Altrincham met Humphrey Bear recently.

Humphrey, the mascot for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity, joined in in their Pyjama Day fun.

Juice Nursery won the visit from Humphrey after Lisa Sweeney, the nursery charity coordinator, signed up for Pyjama Day in aid of the children’s hospital.

Nurseries, crèches and play groups from across the region signed up to get involved and have some fun by wearing their pyjamas to nursery for the day to help raise money for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity.

Funds raised from this year’s Pyjama Day will go towards funding 'giggle doctors', who help to distract patients and their parents, bringing laughter at the most stressful of times.

Lesley Wilson, deputy manager at Juice Nursery, said: “Humphrey coming along to our Pyjama Day will really add to the excitement of the day. Pyjama Day is a great event for us to get involved with and it’s great that our children having fun will help children in hospital."
