A CHILDREN'S charity is aiming to ensure the festive season is Christmas every day for the youngsters it helps - and it wants Messenger readers to ensure it achieves this.

Millington-based the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) will launch its Christmas party programme on November 19 - and it aims to throw 22 parties, one almost every day, in the run-up to Christmas Day.

The four-hour parties will include a disco with party games, a visit to the reindeer, Christmas dinner before the grand finale - visiting Santa in his grotto to receive their presents.

But the charity needs to raise £19,750 to provide this festive fun for groups of terminally ill, disabled or disadvantaged children at their Cheshire base.

Helen Crowther, fundraiser at CAFT said: “For many of the children visiting, this will be their first time visiting Father Christmas.

"Sadly, for some, it will be their last. It is therefore absolutely vital that we make this day as special as it possibly can be, something we can only do thanks to our amazing supporters.”

CAFT wants to hear from individuals and companies who can help it by donating toys or cash. Companies can sponsor a party for £875.
