A TEENAGE daredevil from Timperley selflessly spent her 16th birthday raising funds for charity.

Kerry Morley, who attends Wellington School, decided to take the plunge and skydive from 14,000 feet on behalf of Marfan Association UK.

She raised £650 for the organisation after discovering several members of her family suffer from the little known condition, which affects the skeleton, eyes, lungs, heart and blood vessels.

Headteacher at Wellington School Stuart Beeley said: “Young people are too often portrayed in a negative light but Kerry has raised more than £650 through her own self-determination and hard work. We are all proud of her and I’m sure the experience will live with Kerry forever.”
