THE internationally renowned Tenor – Martin Toal returned to his former primary school – All Saints Catholic Primary School in Sale, to perform at a special concert.

Martin was presented with his original school cap to mark his return by headteacher Anne Scanlon, who is pictured above along with Paul Goddard (the Deputy Lieutenant of Manchester and vice governor of the School), teacher Louise Keegan (organiser of the visit) and children from the School.

The concert which was staged with pupils from the school was to mark the visit from a group of 30 teachers from around Europe who were visiting the School as part of the Comenius Project which is a two year scheme funded by the British Council. The aim of the project is to develop links between the UK and the six partner schools in Europe.

Martin was asked how he felt about returning to his former School and commented:“It brought back some lovely memories.”
