HALE actor Will Finlason has landed a major stage role that could be his ticket to stardom.

The 22-year-old will play the role of This Boy in the world premiere of a play about Brian Epstein - the legendary manager of The Beatles.

Will, who only graduated from drama school in the summer, will appear opposite Coronation Street star Andrew Lancell in the eagerly awaited two hander.

He said: “This Boy is a young lad from Liverpool and he’s very inspired by the Beatles story and he gets to informally, quite casually, interview Brian and aslk him the questions a lot of people would want to ask him if they met him.”

Will graduated from the Manchester School of Theatre at Manchester Metropolitan University in June and had to go through three auditions before the part was his.

He said: “It’s a brilliant role, as a first job the exposure that it’s going to allow me to get is second to none. I’m just so thrilled and enthusiastic about the piece and to be working with an actor like Andrew Lancell, he’s just so lovely to work with and we get on really well.”

Will said he’s a fan of The Beatles and added that he hopes Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, the two surviving members of the world’s most famous pop group, will come to see the show.

He said: “When they hear about it, it’s all over the Internet now and it’s a big topic of conversation in Liverpool, hopefully they’ll come. It’d be nice to see them.”
