The service will be broadcast on a screen in Cathedral Gardens for people gathering outside.

Wristbands have also been produced by the Police Federation in tribute to the two constables.

They read ‘our heroes have collar numbers 12601 and 14846’ and are available at Stretford Police Station and other main police stations.

They can also be found on eBay and cost £1.

PC Bone, who was 32, lived on Stamford Street with her partner, Clare, and Clare’s five-year-old daughter, Jessie.

A statement released by her family read: “Our family have lost a wonderful daughter, sister, partner and parent to Jessie.

“Fiona enjoyed life to the full from her days with the Air training corps, Rugby at University, to her service with the Police.

“She was planning her marriage to Clare and this joy has been taken from us.

“May I take this opportunity to thank officers from both Greater Manchester Police and the Isle of Man Police for their help and assistance at this time.”
