Stretford petrol station worker victim of knife attack

A STRETFORD petrol station worker was attacked with a knife.
A man entered Total Garage, on Chester Road, at around 10.40pm on Saturday night brandishing a kitchen knife.
The worker tried to push the offender away and sustained cuts to his hands, it is not yet clear whether the man was attempting to rob the garage or not.
The man escaped without taking anything.
The worker was taken to Trafford General Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Police are studying CCTV footage and emphasise that enquiries are ongoing. No arrests have been made at present.
