A LESSON in rock ‘n’ roll............lwgendary Status Quo rock drummer Jeff Rich gave the first music workshop in St. Ambrose College's new sound proofed lecture theatre.

Jeff, 60, from Hackney, was with the iconic British band for 16 years, once playing to 400,000 people in Central Park and giving concerts alongside Queen and Pink Floyd.

Having also also played with Judy Tzuke and the Climax Blues Band, he now tours Britain's schools passing down his artistry to the next generation.

Jeff's workshop includes a potted history of drumming from its origins in African nomadic tribes through to the present day. It was attended by St. Ambrose College's GCSE and A Level musicians and young drummers wanting to learn more from a master.
