Campaign to Save Trafford General moves to Wythenshawe

THE campaign to Save Trafford General is reaching out to neighbouring Wythenshawe.

Wythenshawe Hospital's A&E unit is already 17,000 patients over its capacity.

It is estimated £11-£15million will lneed to be spent on an extension to cope with the extra patients from Trafford, if its A&E is closed.

No guarantees have yet been given that Wythenshawe will get the extra investment it needs.

On Saturday, Save Trafford General will be campaigning with Wythenshawe and Sale East MP Paul Goggins and Wythenshawe councillors to gather support for Trafford's protest petition, which already has more than 11.000 signatures.

They will be in Wythenhawe Forum from 10am-1pm on September 29.
