Woman cut from car after two car collision in old Trafford
5:59pm Tuesday 25th September 2012 in News
A DRIVER had to be cut from her car by firefighters after being involved in a two car collision in Old Trafford on Monday.
The woman drove into a wall on White City Way at around 3.30pm and another vehicle was also involved in the incident.
A woman in her late twenties and a man were still in their vehicles when fire crews from Stretford and Salford arrived on the scene.
The man was not injured and was able to get out of his car unaided, but the woman had to be extricated from her vehicle by hydraulic equipment.
She was conscious and breathing but was treated for possible spinal and stomach injuries by ambulance staff at the scene, who then took her to the Royal Manchester Infirmary.
The woman has since been discharged from hospital.
