RESIDENTS at an Altrincham care home are preparing to bring musical eras and legends to life to mark Bupa’s 'Musical Moments' week.
'Musical Moments' [October 1 - 7] is a new initiative which celebrates music through the ages.
Woodend Nursing and Residential Centre is hosting a 1930s themed musical party and is inviting Trafford residents to attend on October 1 from 2.30pm.
And head of the event, resident Joyce Bielby, aged 91, and Bupa’s community and partnerships executive, Susan Ross, teamed up with music legend look-a-likes, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.
Bupa’s “Musical Moments” week is supported by Music in Hospitals (MiH), a leading national charity which provides professionally performed concerts to help improve the lives of those in care.
Altogether, more than 300 care homes are celebrating “Musical Moments” and hosting musical events across the UK, celebrating legends such as Dolly Parton, Elvis and Frank Sinatra.
