Dedicated shoe shop staff put heart and sole into Stretford Mall store

BETWEEN them these three women have spent close to a century making sure people in Stretford step out in style.
Collectively the trio - area manager Sandra Nolan, store manager Hazel Molloy and Marion Rowe - have racked up almost nine decades of selling Clarks shoes, the largest non-sports footwear brand in the world.
And now they’re celebrating another milestone with the 30th anniversary of the Clarks store in Stretford Mall.
Despite the struggle facing some sectors in the retail industry, the Stretford shop has just enjoyed one of its best ‘back-to-school’ sales sprees.
Hazel Molloy, who comes from Stretford, said: “It’s a period many shoe shops rely on, because when the children go back to school they nearly all go back in Clarks shoes.”
