Join the Friends of the Bridgewater Canal to help spruce up towpath

THE Friends of the Bridgewater Canal will be carrying out their autumn litter pick on October 6, from 10am - and is calling for volunteers to join them.

The meeting place is near the canal steps opposite the Waterside pub in Sale.

Litter pickers and bags will be provided. The event will last approximately two hours.

The friends group carries out regular litter picks along the canal towpath between Timperley and the M60 bridge.
