Jobs fair at the Trafford Centre

JOBSEEKERS are being urged to call in at The Trafford Centre “Jobs Spectacular” to hear more about the dozens of vacancies at the shopping centre in the run up to Christmas.

The recruitment drive on September 27 will be located on the lower level of the Orient food court, outside NAMCO Funscape. More than 25 different retailers will be on hand to offer a variety of temporary and permanent positions, from weekend jobs to full-time roles.

Retailers who have signed up so far include The Disney Store, Selfridges, the ODEON Cinema, and The Trafford Centre itself.

Tony Sheehan, General Manager at The Trafford Centre, explained the importance of the Jobs Spectacular.

“Retail is a huge source of employment in the northwest, along with the essential posts which support retail such as cleaning and security staff.

“In this time of uncertainty in the jobs market, we recognise how important it is for job seekers to use their time wisely in the hunt for employment – and so we’ve designed our Jobs Spectacular to be an accessible one-stop shop for those looking for work as we approach peak season in the retail trade.

“Many of the retailers at the event will be taking on lots of new staff from the pool of people who visit on the day, and we’ll have our Travel and Transport co-ordinator at the event to help match bus times to work patterns, and explain our Car Share Scheme, just to make working at The Trafford Centre that little bit more straightforward.”

The Trafford Centre Jobs Spectacular runs from 12 noon to 6pm, September 27th.
