£1000+ Macmillan fundraiser sweetens Timperley church for fourteenth year

THE kettle instead of the choir will be singing at Timperley Methodist Church on September 28, as Val Laws hosts her 14th annual coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Val’s coffee morning has raised more than £1000 each year for the past 13 years as part of Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event, World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which took in a record-breaking £10 million last year across the UK.

Everyone is welcome at the coffee morning is open to the public from 10am-12noon on September 28 and will hold stalls and a raffle as well as selling hot drinks and sweet treats, including Val’s own homemade marmalade.
