Hale and Urmston chip shops in UK's top 100
THE Good Catch Hale and its sister outlet in Urmston are both listed in the Official Guide to the UK’s top 100 Fish and Chip Shops.
The guide is published by the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) which monitors the standards of fish and chip shops throughout the country.
The NFFF commended the shops not only for the quality and taste of their chips, but also for the clean, hygienic and safe environment in which they are served.
Owner, Alison Mattravers, said: “We at The Good Catch are really proud of the quality of our food and of our shops.
“We feel it is really important to maintain a traditional fish and chip shop menu, but also to combine this with our modern view on eco friendliness and sustainability.
“We and all of our staff put so much effort into what we do, so for both of our shops to be recognised as two of the UK's Top 100 Chip Shops is a massive achievement and a great reward."
