THE annual Flixton, Urmston and Davyhulme (FUD) Carnival took place last Saturday, September 1.
Carnival committee member, Wendy Gibson, said: “The weather was glorious and a good time was had by everyone.”
Flixton Brass Band led the parade behind FUD and Autistic Society of the Greater Manchester Area royalty and was followed by many other organisations.
They included; John Shaw Equestrian Centre, Trafford Boys Brigade Band, Bolton Mountain Rescue, Jane Jarvis Dance School, Flixton Academy of Performing Arts (FAPA), Flixton Brownies and Guides and many more.
Attractions such as a queens’ arena, dance displays by FAPA & Jane Jarvis, an inflatable assault course, climbing wall and various charity stalls were also present on the day.
Wendy said: “Once again our thanks go to Dainwell Farm and many other farmers, equestrian centres and even Beeseka Kennels who helped in the finding of a truck for our FUD Royalty as we lost ours due to the severe ill health of Alf Sharratt who normally carries them.
"It was eventually provided by Hazel Gibb of Trafford Community News.”
