Police find Mavis Copland from Lymm who was reported missing on the Trans Pennine Trail

POLICE say they have found a Lymm woman with Alzheimer’s who went missing when on a walk on Wednesday evening.

Mavis Copland, aged 78, was reported missing after she became separated from her husband during a walk along the Trans Pennine Trail at around 6.30pm as they walked between Lymm and Dunham.

She has been found safe and well this morning, police say.

They had been concerned for her welfare and issued an appeal for information earlier today.
