Gruelling challenge is just grand

ONE woman and her dog............Sale resiident and Stockdales employee Diane Clayton and her dog Billy have raised in the region of £1,000 for the charity by completing a gruelling physical challenge.

In five weeks Diane and her canine companion clocked up more than 300 miles by climbing the 214 Wainwright fells in the Lake District.

Diane said: “Climbing the Wainwrights has always been an ambition of mine. It has been an honour and a privilege to do this for Stockdales, a cause I’m fully committed to. It’s been really tough but a thoroughly enjoyable challenge for me and Billy.”

Based in Sale, Stockdales is a charity supporting young people with severe disabilities.
