A SALE library’s courtyard garden is looking blooming lovely after a makeover.
A small team of volunteers, including councillors Rob Chilton and John Holden, arranged a tidy-up of the garden at Coppice Library.
The team cleaned up the brick-paving and provided new planters to make the area more inviting and pleasant for library staff and visitors.
The St Mary's ward councillors donated a new bench to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee, and arranged for an old broken bench to be repaired.
A new bird table was also donated by the Rev Gerry Foster of Sale West Community Church and Cllr Jacki Wilkinson of Broadheath ward.
Cllr Chilton said: "Coppice Library is a fantastic facility enjoyed by residents in the Sale West area. Our team very much wanted to put something back into it, and we hope the garden will now be enjoyed by library visitors of all ages."
