AN afternoon of celebrations was held by Trafford Housing Trust (THT) to mark 50 years of some sheltered accommodation in Stretford on August 17.
Residents of Lostock Court, on Barton Road, their friends, families and members of the local community were treated to a cake, bouncy castle, face-painting and nail-painting from a resident’s
granddaughter.
Lostock Court’s longest residing resident, Ada Goodman, has lived in the accommodation for 25 years and shared a slice of cake with THT chief executive Matthew Gardiner.
Matthew said: : “The birthday party for Lostock Court was a huge success, the fact that around 60 people turned up to celebrate the day and help put on the activities shows the kind of strong
community bond in the area.”
Lostock Court is sheltered housing accommodation, managed by the Trust, which provides care for residents to help them live independently for as long as possible.
