Homes site goes up for sale

A MAJOR 5.68 acre site in Timperley with planning permission for up to 70 homes is being offered to housing developers.

The Stamford Brook Road site is being sold on behalf of Trafford College by the Manchester offices of Colliers International and Guest Garden.

The outline planning permission allows for 23 three-bedroom homes, 37 four-bed homes and 10 five-bed homes.

Mike Brassington, director at Colliers International, Manchester, expects a high level of interest.

He said: “The site represents an outstanding development opportunity and will be of significant interest to housebuilders capable of providing a broad mix of family housing sympathetic to a well-established residential area.”

Michelle Leslie, vice-principal resources at Trafford College, said: “The college already provides outstanding accommodation at our Altrincham campus and the value that will be generated from this sale will enable us to maintain our commitment to provide the highest standard of accommodation for our students at our Talbot Road campus.”
