A TRIO of fundraisers has taken to the streets on a charitable tour of the UK in an auto-rickshaw.

On Friday, friends Joanne Flitcroft, Hannah Reeves and Nicole Xodo will crossed the start line in their brightly decorated Indian auto-rickshaw, to set off on a 1,500 mile journey around the country.

It’s all in aid of Wythenshawe Hospital-based charity, Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention.

The tour is spanning the length and breadth of the UK, travelling up to Glasgow via Carlisle, down to London – via Doncaster and Milton Keynes – for a photo with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, and across to Cardiff.

Returning to Manchester 10 days later, the intrepid trio will cross the finish in Alderley Edge, where there will be a party on July 8, from 3pm.

Tickets for the party at Panacea, Alderley Edge, are available from www.pinkribbonrickshaw.co.uk.

Supporters can also follow the trio on their blog, www.pinkribbonrickshaw.co.uk, or by their twitter profile @PRibbonRickshaw. Donations can be made via the Just Giving page,www.justgiving.com/pinkribbonrickshaw or by texting “PINK90 £5” or “PINK90 £10” to 70070.
