Trafford residents urged to help shape Healthwatch body

TRAFFORD residents are being urged to help shape a healthwatch body Trafford Local Involvement Network (LINk) is a voluntary organisation funded by the local authority on behalf of central government. It acts as the voice of residents on issues relating to health and social care provision.

Nationally, LINk’s are to become local Healthwatch bodies in April 2013, with enhanced powers including increased involvement with patient choice, signposting and advocacy.

Over the coming months the council and Trafford LINk will be consulting widely with residents to establish what they feel is key in shaping this important local service.

Public meetings are being held on: July 6, 2pm-4pm - Partington Community Centre, Central Road, Partington.

July 11, 6pm-8pm - Sale Masonic Hall, Tatton Road, Sale.

July 12, 6pm-8pm - Old Trafford Community Centre Shrewsbury Street, Old Trafford.

July 13, 1pm-3pm - Timperley Methodist Hall, Stockport Road, Timperley.

July 17, 2pm-4pm - Urmston Library, Golden Way, Urmston.
