City Airport & Heliport’s Aviation and Family Fun Day

CITY Airport & Heliport, part of The Peel Group, will be holding their Annual Aviation and Family Fun Day on July 1 from 10am.

Last year, the event attracted more than 4,000 visitors on a fabulously warm and sunny day and helped to raise over £4,000 for The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. This year, there will be even more attractions including a fun fair, classic cars, a visit from the Air Ambulance and live music and we will also waive landing charges for any aircraft flying in on the day. More information about the event can be found on the website www.visitcityairport.co.uk There is a small entrance fee for the Aviation and Family Fun Day, however all proceeds will be donated to the restoration fund for the Barton Aerodrome Heritage Society Museum. Peel will match the money made on the day to double the donation made to the Barton Aerodrome Heritage Society Museum.

A spokesperson for City Airport & Heliport commented, “Last year’s fun day was a great success, and we’re hoping this year’s is even better and we have some good weather!”
