STRETFORD sea cadet Sheridan Murray has received a prestigious award.
Sheridan, aged 17, was presented with a certificate of merit by Colonel Warren Smith, Lord- Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, pictured.
The presentation was made at an awards ceremony on June 19 at Greater Manchester Army Cadet Force Headquarters at Hawkshaw, near Bury. Wellacre College sixth former Sheridan is a leading cadet with Training Ship Vengeance, the Stretford and Urmston unit of the Sea Cadet Corps.
These awards are presented annually to the best cadets of the service linked youth movements – air cadet corps, sea cadets corps and army cadet force.
